The ChangeRing is about giving and is a socially conscious product. For that reason, we are donating part of our proceeds to charity.
However, we are also about supporting Barack Obama's candidacy for president and charities, by law*, must stay politically neutral.
In order to respect / protect this neutrality, The ChangeRing cannot represent or name which charities we are supporting. However, we feel you should know what they stand for and some of the issues that we believe are important.
When activating your ChangeRing, you will be asked to select which area of change you want money to be donated to. We have selected and will donate to a charity that serves that area.
Without revealing their identities, here is a little bit about them:
"Global warming is not only the number one environmental challenge we face today, but one of the most important issues facing all of humanity".
This charity has a long history in the fight for a healthy and just world. Over the years its members have worked under the premise that it is everyone's right to live in safe and healthy environment and that the fight for justice and the movement to protect the planet are part of the same struggle.
Hunger is a very serious problem in The United States. In 2006, 4.6 million American households experienced "Food Insecurity with Hunger"**.
This organization's mission is to help feed America's hungry and engage our country in the fight to end hunger. Each year, they provide food to millions of low-income hungry people in the United States; about half of them are children and seniors.
The future of our country rests with our children. For over 30 years this organization's mission has been to ensure that America's children are given a voice and a fair shot at success. With an emphasis on education, health, and safety, they have worked to improve the lives of American children.

The Restriction of Political Campaign Intervention by Section 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Organizations.
Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity. Violating this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise taxes.
